Chicago Opera Playhouse

MISSION STATEMENT:
Chicago Opera Playhouse is a company dedicated to exposing and educating children to opera and musical theater. All of our 45 minute performances are designed to be engaging and interactive for children and family performances. COPH provides the opportunity or children and families to experience live theater with professional musicians.

This is Chicago Opera Playhouse’s fifth season. Our first year we performed Hansel and Gretel, then premiered Three Little Pigs, and followed with the new Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Our 2011-2012 season will present Cinderhood, the mixed-up musical about Cinderella & Little Red Riding Hood. We tour the Illinois area focusing in the Chicago-land as well as Central Illinois and Wisconsin throughout the school year.

Cinderhood is a forty-five minute long hilariously entertaining musical for the whole family. The show combines the stories of Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood in a mixed-up fun way. The audience is treated to a wonderfully wacky, toe-tapping, seriously silly theatrical experience.
